Edible photo cakes
Send us a photo — a face, a pet, a logo, a favourite moment. We print it in food-safe edible ink onto an icing sheet and apply it to your cake. Perfect for surprise birthdays, corporate cakes and kids' heroes.
Lead time: 3+ days
Custom birthday cakes
70ths, 21sts, first birthdays, milestone cakes. Tell us the flavour, the size and the vibe and we'll build it. Pair with an edible print for the full personal touch.

Kids' character & themed cakes
Bluey, Spider-Man, unicorns, dinosaurs, footy teams — we'll hand-decorate or print to match whatever they're into this week. Cupcake boxes too.

Wedding & tiered celebration cakes
Tiered cakes for weddings, engagements and large events. Ring ahead at least 2 weeks so we can walk through flavours, sizing, dietaries and delivery. We'll do a tasting if you want one.

Corporate & logo cakes
Staff birthdays, client celebrations, launch parties. Your logo printed in edible ink onto a sheet cake — clean, sharp, and dead-on brand colours.

Edible cake printing
How the photo ends up on the cake.
Edible cake printing (also called photo cake or image cake) lets you put a real photograph onto a cake. The ink is food-grade, the sheet is icing, the taste is just cake — the print is the last thing that goes on before it leaves the shop.

Send us your photo
JPG or PNG, as high-resolution as you can get. Photos straight from a phone are fine. Logos work best as PNG with a clean background. Email via the contact form or bring it into the shop on a USB.

We confirm size & cake
Round, rectangle, cupcake-top. Sponge, mudcake or something else. We'll let you know if your photo needs cropping to fit the cake shape.

Printed & applied fresh
We print onto a food-grade icing sheet in edible ink and apply it to the iced cake just before pickup, so the colours stay sharp and the sheet doesn't dry out.

Pickup from your shop
Collect from Cessnock or Nulkaba on the day — tell us the time and we'll have it ready and boxed. Keep it cool on the way home.

Can I order a custom cake?
Yes — custom cakes are a Pie Hole speciality. We do birthday cakes, kids' cakes, cupcake orders and cakes for weddings, engagements and events. Give us at least 3–5 days' notice for anything custom, and a week for larger tiered or themed cakes. Call the shop closest to you or use the contact form.
Do you do edible cake printing?
We do. Send us a photo — a face, a logo, a pet, a favourite moment — and we'll print it in food-safe edible ink onto an icing sheet and top your cake with it. Great for surprise birthdays, corporate cakes, and kids' characters. We need at least 3 days and a high-resolution image (JPG or PNG). Ring the shop or email us via the contact form to start.
How much notice do you need for a custom cake?
Minimum 3 days for a standard custom cake or edible photo print. 5–7 days for larger, tiered, or heavily decorated cakes. For weddings and events we'd prefer 2+ weeks so we can talk through flavours, sizing and delivery. The earlier the better — especially around long weekends and peak wedding season.
